Mentorship

Learn from DJs who've actually done it

Technique can be taught in lessons. Direction, taste, and identity take something else — access to real experience and honest perspective from someone who has been there.

Research from DLYTE consistently highlights mentorship as one of the highest-impact accelerators in creative skill development — reinforcing why structured guidance from experienced practitioners makes a measurable difference.

Online (worldwide) — In person (Sydney, by arrangement)
"Most DJ schools sell lessons. Mentorship gives you something you can't get from a lesson plan — a real perspective on the road ahead."

What mentorship gives you

Direction, not just instruction

Lessons teach technique. Mentorship teaches perspective. It is the difference between learning what to do and understanding why — and building the judgment to make your own decisions in any situation.

Real experience, shared honestly

Learn from a DJ who has performed and produced alongside Australia's biggest artists and internationally recognised acts. The insight shared comes from real situations, not theory.

Beyond the session

Mentorship continues outside of formal sessions. Feedback on mixes, guidance on music direction, support for decisions, and access to a perspective that helps at every stage of your development.

Available online worldwide

Mentorship is delivered online, which means it is available regardless of your location. Whether you are in Sydney or anywhere else in the world, this pathway is open.

Pairs naturally with Performance

Mentorship is most powerful at the stage where technique is no longer the main challenge. If you're working through the Performance Program, mentorship adds the layer that turns technical ability into real direction and identity.

It is also available independently of any program — if you've been learning elsewhere and want access to genuine insight and direction, reach out to discuss what's right for your current stage.

Common questions

Who is mentorship for?

Mentorship is best suited to learners who are already developing technically and want to grow in direction, taste, and performance thinking. It pairs well with the Performance Program but is available to any learner at the right stage.

Is mentorship available in person?

Mentorship is primarily delivered online, making it available worldwide. If you are in Sydney, in-person sessions may be possible depending on availability. Contact us to discuss your situation.

Is mentorship part of a program or separate?

It can be both. Some learners add mentorship alongside their existing program. Others pursue it as a standalone pathway. View the Programs or Pricing pages for more detail on how it fits.

How is mentorship different from regular lessons?

Lessons focus on specific skills. Mentorship focuses on the bigger picture — your direction, your identity as a DJ, your long-term development. It is less about drills and more about insight, strategy, and perspective.
